Diagnostics

On the skin and in the subcutaneous tissue, we encounter a whole range of skin growths, which can have a diverse character, whether they are soft tissue formations on the surface or deeply embedded. These are, for example, fatty formations called lipomas, fibrous formations called dermatofibromas, cystic deposits called atheroma, etc. They can grow, for example, as a result of an injury or a blunt blow.

The basis is a physical examination, which can be supplemented with a biopsy, ultrasound or other examination.

Marks, freckles

We get some of them already at birth, that's why we call them birthmarks. We acquire more of them during our lifetime. The appearance of birthmarks is influenced by many factors, from heredity, environment, to the way of life we lead. Given that 30 to 50% of melanomas arise from an initially innocent pigment mark, it is very important to monitor your body and, in case of a change or the discovery of something new, to consult a doctor just to be sure.

Warts

Warts are the result of a small benign tumor that is caused by the Papillomavirus HPV. Above all, in the summer months, we deal with their large increase, especially in children, since the warts themselves are of viral origin, so they are easily transmitted - for example, by direct contact. From one wart, we can then transfer the virus to other parts of the body.

Despite the fact that many over-the-counter products are sold in pharmacies, the wart should always be removed by an experienced doctor who will determine the specific way to remove the wart.
