Diagnosis and therapy of gynaecological diseases and prenatal diagnostics

  • Preventive check-ups have a priority position in outpatient care as a basic principle of women’s health care. Part of the preventive examination is the early detection of pathological changes of the cervix. This is followed by basic or specialised gynaecological ultrasound examinations to exclude various pathologies of the pelvic organs.
  • In the outpatient clinic we examine and treat various gynaecological diseases, menstrual cycle disorders. We take care of infertile couples and women who have menopause. We carry out vaccination against cervical cancer.
  • We provide all methods of modern contraception.
  • For gynaecological surgery we prefer one-day surgery approach with maximum use of minimally invasive techniques. We perform most surgeries under general anaesthesia during a one-day hospitalization.
  • Our clinic specializes in treatment of precancerous conditions of the cervix, uterine pathologies such as uterine fibroids, polyps and bleeding.
  • We also perform cosmetic surgery for our clients such as removal of various nipples and moles, hymenotomy, labiaplasty, treatment of childbirth injuries, perineal surgery, etc.).
  • In collaboration with some fertility centres (GENNET, SANUS, ISCARE, etc.) we diagnose and treat causes of infertility.
  • Prenatal care consists of comprehensive monitoring of pregnancy from the beginning until due date. The prenatal care includes expert ultrasound examinations of the fetus – screening and diagnosis of congenital developmental defects of the fetus and early detection of conditions threatening the fetus, such as fetal growth disorders, placental anomalies, impending premature birth, etc.
  • If there is an increased risk of the fetus being affected by a chromosomal defect (e.g. Down syndrome, Edwards syndrome, Patau syndrome, etc.), we perform invasive prenatal diagnostics, i.e. taking a small sample of the placenta (CVS at 11-14 weeks of pregnancy) or amniotic fluid (amniocentesis after 15 weeks of pregnancy).
  • On request, we take 3D fetal photographs or 4D videos with recording on a USB flash drive.
  • The medical genetics outpatient clinic provides genetic counselling when genetic condition is suspected, in treatment of infertility or recurrent miscarriage, in pregnancy in suspected genetic conditions or congenital developmental defects of the fetus.
