Appendix
Appendix is a small pouch attached at the end of the large intestine. It is a hollow tube that is closed at one end. Appendicitis is a condition in which your appendix gets inflamed. The problem most often occurs due to intestinal infection, a parasite or constipation issue. Appendix is routinely removed to prevent it from bursting and to stop infection from spreading further into your abdomen. When acute appendicitis is diagnosed, emergency surgery is immediately performed
Symptoms of appendicitis
The symptoms include pain in right lower part of your belly, nausea and stool problems.
Laparoscopic Appendectomy
This is a surgical procedure to remove your appendix when it is chronically inflamed. It is a routine surgery when the appendix is removed with a thin tube with a camera and other instruments. Scheduled laparoscopy appendectomy is performed in patients whose cecum gets chronically inflamed.

This means a small plastic tube is put in to let any fluids drain.

The pain goes away, and you may use pain medication to help it. All abdominal surgeries cause your bowels to stop working temporarily. You will need to wait 2 days before you may start eating light food, depending on the type of surgery-
